Monika was amazing to work with. A few weeks prior to the wedding she did a trial on me (at her home which she has set up an AMAZING makeup room) to make sure that the makeup and the airbrushing that she was using would work in both natural sunlight and indoor light as my wedding was an outdoor summer wedding. I also had a tattoo on my arm that I needed covering up. She supplied everything and even made sure to get me my own tube of the lip gloss that she used on me so I could have touchups throughout the day!

On the morning of the wedding, Monika came to my hotel room bright and early and did my makeup exactly how we decided on during the trial. She was so patient with 5 other bridesmaids and a photographer in the same room. She even helped touch up my maid of honors makeup for her!

My makeup lasted until wee hours of the morning and I still get compliments on how pretty my makeup was in our wedding pictures.

Monika was an absolute joy to deal with, during both my makeup trial run and on the day of my wedding. She was a great listener to my feedback, what I liked and didn’t like, and she made excellent recommendations on what shades and makeup best suited my skin type. She was such a calming presence on the morning of the wedding, which is largely due to her professional, yet easygoing personality. She did the makeup for myself and my Maid of Honor, having us ready in plenty of time and both extremely happy with her work.

I received so many compliments on my hair & makeup, but it was only when we received the photos back from our photographer that I realized what a difference professionally applied makeup can make. I was married on August 24th 2013 and my bridesmaids and I could not be happier with the job that Monika did. The trial was done in her AMAZING home make up studio with professional lighting. She was organized and made sure we had more than enough time for each makeup application the day of and touched base with me throughout the year to make sure everything went smoothly. She arrived early with plenty of time to set up and was calm and professional the entire day even with the chaos all around. She managed to really capture all different looks we were going for while somehow still making them all mesh and look cohesive as a bridal party. We had everything from requesting a “natural” look to glamorous contouring and a smokey eye that came together. I even threw Monika a curveball by changing my mind last minute on what I wanted and she was able to accommodate and knock it out of the park without hesitation. It was 30 degrees and sunny the day of our wedding and my make-up managed to last the whole day and night which was a concern for me. A self proclaimed makeup junkie, I am extremely picky with my makeup and use professional products on a day to day basis. I also had several trials with other artists in fear that they could not replicate a look that I wanted. I had made the right choice and was shocked and delighted that I was as happy as I was with my makeup. Monika also offered a special tattoo makeup cover up application for a heavily tattooed bridesmaid as well as myself who tends to break out in stress hives to ensure my photos turned out flawlessly.
